Krikla Studio was appointed to bring style and personality to a Victorian townhouse, with architectural plans and planning permission already in place. The task was to turn a well-planned building into a home that felt unmistakably like its owners.
The brief:
The family of five asked for a highly decorative interior, with a personal visual story at its heart: a blend of memories, travels and visual experiences woven into the fabric of the house. Pattern, colour, original period features and bespoke furnishing became the tools for telling it.
Our approach:
With construction yet to begin, we had a rare opportunity to develop the decorative concept before the plans went out to tender. Working with the existing structure, we introduced considered changes to the layouts of selected rooms, then built a concept and decorative scheme that let the house’s Victorian character and the family’s personality speak together.
What we delivered:
- Concept development and decorative scheme
- Full technical design
- Bespoke furniture design
- Procurement
- Coordination of the full construction phase, in line with the confirmed design
