CHELSEA Townhouse

Krikla Studio was appointed to bring style and personality to a terraced house in Chelsea. It was a partial refurbishment with no structural changes, but the impact was anything but partial: every room in the house was redecorated.

The brief:

The family had lived in the house for ten years, and their needs had changed. The children had grown up and some had left home, so several rooms needed a new purpose. Having worked with us on their first refurbishment, the clients came back knowing exactly what they wanted, and the design was built entirely on their personal tastes and aesthetic preferences.

Our approach:

Working within the existing structure, we repurposed rooms to suit the family as they are now. A decade of living in the house meant the clients could tell us what worked and what didn’t, and that shaped every decision, from the concept to the smallest decorative detail.
